|Dr. Ostir has a broad background in gerontology, with specific training and expertise in epidemiology, health disparities, psychology, biostatistics and clinical outcomes research. His primary interest is in positive healthy aging across the translational research spectrum, from the biological to the clinical, to the community. His most recent work focuses on epigenetic mechanisms underlying the connections between tai chi and mental wellbeing; and examining psychobiological pathways to cognitive health.
